Paul Herrera, President
Paul was born in San Miguel de Papasquaro to humble beginnings. He dropped out of school at age 7 to move with his family to the mountains of Durango to work on a farm. They lived in a cave and he learned about hard labor from this young age.
Life was hard and he knew he wanted more so at age 17 he crossed the Rio Grande alone into the USA to find a better life. He immediately began working on construction projects and learning the trade. He taught himself English and became a US citizen.
A contractor friend saw his potential and encouraged him to start his own business. So, in 1998 he began to build a team and work on jobs independently. And by 2006 he incorporated the business.
Today, Paul Herrera Construction Co is a multimillion-dollar company employing over 40 employees in the Chicago area.
