Paul Herrera, President
Although the company was incorporated in 2006, Paul’s journey in the industry began more than 45 years ago.
Born in San Miguel de Papasquaro, Mexico, he came from humble beginnings. At just 7 years old, he had to leave school when his family moved to the mountains of Durango to work on a farm, living in a cave and learning the value of hard work early on.
Life was tough, and determined to give his family a better future, Paul seized the chance to migrate to the US at age 17. He embraced this God given opportunity wholeheartedly, dedicating himself to learning the language and adapting to his new surroundings while working physically demanding construction jobs that taught him valuable skills. Despite long hours and many setbacks, he saved every dollar and built strong connections with those who recognized his work ethic.
Encouraged by a contractor friend to start his own business, Paul began working independently and building a team in 1998, officially incorporating the company in 2006.
Today, Paul Herrera Construction Company thrives as a successful concrete construction business with over 40 employees, proudly serving the Greater Chicago area.
Paul understood at an early age that through faith, hard work & perseverance, dreams when aligned correctly are capable of becoming reality.
